PAST PRODUCTION
BATS 2007 - 2008 :
'Bats' was the first work of ASIPKA Theatre Group and based on the award-winning story of a new greek writer Lena Kitsopoulou
In the first version, the director D. Bitos placed five actresses among the spectators in an oval table for fifty people the only setting without costumes or lighting, in swelling confession to narrate extreme stories of everyday life. The performanced was played at the multiplex BIOS
In the second version, 'Bats' was played in a cinematech (BIOS), parallel and opposing arrangement with spectators.
'What are the issues? Fed up, abandoned or Cuckold wifes of both sexes, social stereotypes, people wasted by petty goals ("if I do not knock the door in the morning, I do not know who I am"), teenage girls who discover sex ("I wonder how people enjoy this torture 'but I call my best friend to tell her that I was fucked.. "), fleeting passages to death, racism (" my new kid gonna be black like fried "), the pinch .
A zap of collective today, with zero budget and minimalist freshness'
